The Gulf Championship is going to be held at Dubai Snooker Club on 1 February, 2011

Academy member Mohammed Shehab from the UAE added another major snooker title to his
collection this weekend when he won the Gold medal at the West Asian Games in Saudi Arabia.


Top cueists across west Asia travelled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to compete for this prestigious
snooker title.

Robin Mohammed had victories over Habib Subah (Bahrain) 4-1 Ahmed Aqeli (Jordan) 4-0 to qualify
for the knock out stages.

In the Knockout Stages Mohammed beat Abdula Al-knadri (Kuwait) 4-0 in the last 16
In the Q-final he beat Husain Vafaei (Iran) 4-1
In the Semi Final he beat Ehsan Heydari (Iran) 5-4
And in the Finals he beat Ahmed Saif (Qatar) 5-2

Mohammed had Breaks of 99-90-94-93-85-88-69-70-66 in the event.

Gold : Mohamed Shehab ( UAE )
Silver: Ahmed Saif ( QATAR )
Bronze: Mohamed Al Joker ( UAE ) - Ehsan Heydari ( IRAN )

The Highest Break prize went to Ehsan Heydari from Iran with a 118 Break

Mohammed was really happy with his performance in the event and it was indeed a moment of great joy to see him add this title to his name after missing the World Championship last December, held in Syria.

His Next Championship is the GCC in Dubai and then the Thailand 6 reds Asian Championship.
